[edit for more info]
just incase you dont know i assumed you did but anyway
you can do strength and cardio work on it (and theres good variety) and yoga is awesome too
it also has balance games which are fun but i dont think they do alot
I don’t know if I’d consider what I have is a “home gym,” but I use a Power Strider. It works my legs, arms, and stomach. (It’s like a cross-country skiing workout.) Then I also lift hand weights for my arms.
you dont need a home gym i was gonna by one then i basically started doing situps crunches pull ups(they sell a bar that wedges between the wall) push ups just the basics 10 minutes for each activity and i was ripped no need to spend all that money on a home gym but if you are really setting your focus on getting a home gym for less then$400 bucks the ab rocket machine is good it works different areas of the body i have used it before and it works pretty good bow flex is another good one but if you get a juicer and use it to alter your daily intake just doing push ups and sit ups crunches pull ups will give you killer abs nice 6 pack tone the back muscles….
Gravity. Oh, wait, gravity is free.
The Marines have no gym and they work out succesfully ALL over the world. My buddy says they even worked out on the USS Nimitz, an aircraft carrier. He says they were the fittest men he has ever seen and he was with them on that boat for 5 months. It had NO gym.
A barbell is all you need. Look here for many exercise choices to work your whole body.
Free weights are more effective and safer than machines because they give your body the opportunity to move in the most natural ways.
Compound movements that use multiple joints, such as dead lift, overhead press, and bent row exercise many muscles at once, and are preferred to isolation movements such as leg extension, flys, etc. Compound movements better simulate sports and work — and are more time efficient.
