there are usually a few built in programmes, work through them, because they usually work through from easy to hard levels. however if yours doesn’t, then start off doing five mins at a reasonable pace and then the next day at a faster pace and from then on try and increase the time by a few mins everyday going at a fairly brisk pace. when you’ve reached 40 mins or so, work on your speed.
you can also play around with the drag or whatever it’s called, that makes the pedals stiffer so that you have to work harder…but don’t put it up too much, because that’s more for toning, keep it on the lower side for losing weight and then afterwards put it up to tone up your skin, so that it doesn’t become loose and sag…
High intensity interval training. 3 minute warm up, 1 minute very fast, 2 minutes at a lower speed to recover, then again 1 minute very fast and 2 minutes to recover. Repeat this cycle for 30 minutes. Its the best way to condition your heart and burn fat.
Lol sizzle good way to help him :p Anyway for fat loss the i recommend two different things, you have 2 options,
1.My way,the lazy way,get massive amounts of muscle mass, they eat away at fat and at the moment i can easily lose 2.2 pounds in 2 days by eating no fat+no sugar, however this is really time consuming and challenging,+ if you’re a female isn’t too easy.
2.Is what you want help with, which is cardio. Now i cant tell you how long because well i have no idea who you are and what you look like but for weight loss i would measure you’re leg rotations in seconds and try and get one rotation every 0.5 sec which means 2 full rotations every second, this will keep you’re heart rate up and to be honest is the only good answer one could give without more info about you. Also never do something like get off, take a break and get back on,it defeats the purpose.Instead when you get tired put the resistance lower and wait till you regain strength and repeat.
And to put it bluntly i am completely against cardio simply because i find that while an hour of cardio could maybe kill about 500 calories a body builder has too consume about 11000 calories a day just to maintain body weight.
This is right up my alley. get yourself a heart rate monitor, you see alot of runners wearing them strapped around their chests. This little devise works wonders for monitoring your output of energy calorie wise as well as heart wise. When you purchase the monitor it will have settings that you program into it ie: your age, weight, *** etc. It then gives you a “target” heart rate zone to exersize in. When you ride your bike and check your monitor on your wrist you can see if you are in your “target zone” and once you are in the zone you are now operating at you bodies optimum. The longer you stay in your “zone” the more calories and fat you burn. I burn 500 a day.
