February 3rd, 2010
CosplayNoobie :3 asked:

Female
5 foot
104 pounds

So I was wondering, would this be enough exercise?
1. 1200 Calories, Swimming for 30 minutes and doing some strength exercises.
2. 1200 Calories, Running outside or on treadmill, and some strength exercises.
I also have different routines on different days.

And how often should you change your exercise routine?

Thanks!

Used Home Gym – How to Get Yourself a Home Gym Bargain

January 29th, 2010

A used home gym will give you all the benefits of a brand new unit but at a fraction of the cost. If you want to snag yourself a bargain, here are some of the ways that you can do it.

Before you start searching for your home gym equipment, be sure what you are actually looking for. Do you want the variety that is allowed by free weights or are you a beginner that would be better off with a weights machine? Do you work out with a pal that can act as your spotter or would you be better off with a Smith machine if you work out alone? Just because a used home gym is available at a bargain price, doesn’t mean it’s right for you.

When you have decided what you need have a look online. A good place to start your search is eBay. They have an ever-changing inventory of used fitness equipment. You will need to narrow your focus down to sellers that are local to you because a home gym is likely to be advertised as ‘pick up from seller’. Another good site to use is Craigslist. This is already divided into areas or cities so it is easier to find a local seller. If you are based in the UK you can use Gumtree, which has similar style to Craigslist.

You should also read through the adverts in your local newspaper and free advertiser sheets. These are great places to pick up bargain used home gyms. You can also look at the noticeboards at your local gyms and healthclubs. Don’t be afraid to post your own adverts for ‘home gym wanted’. This is an effective way to find people that no longer use their equipment and want some quick cash.
